This gorgeous, fully renovated South of Broad home is the perfect place to call home for your 30+ night stay here in Charleston. This home combines historic charm and modern comforts to provide the ultimate Southern luxury.
The home boasts 3 spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, multiple living & entertaining spaces, and a kitchen that flows directly into the great room, which overlooks the pool & garden area designed by Sheila Wertimer. The garden space is extremely private, featuring multiple gathering areas, as well as off-street parking for two cars. Attention to detail is evident throughout the home including the wood paneled formal living room/library and formal dining room, both with coffered ceilings and fireplaces that have an open and spacious feel. The dining room features a beautiful round dining table with seating for up to seven people. The beautifully designed kitchen features a large center island with seating for four and a sizable butler's pantry that allows for dual workspaces, perfect for every day living or for entertaining guests. The La Cornue stove is the centerpiece of the kitchen along with large side-by-side Subzeros, and a separate wine tower surrounded by elegant marble surfaces. The kitchen flows directly into a family room that features an expansive custom made bookcase and TV surround, and a long custom made sofa that fits the space perfectly. This beautiful and comfortable space opens to the pool area via French doors.
On the second level, the first guest suite is at the front of the home (street side) offering charming rooftop views of 18th century Charleston. In this room you will find a queen size bed and stunning en suite bathroom. An elegant second-floor den/office separates the master suite from the stair hall, which leads into the spectacular master suite, featuring a king size bed, mini bar area complete with a Wolf espresso machine and a separate Subzero fridge. The closet space is generous in size and beautifully designed. French doors access a private balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The master bath is beautifully tiled with marble mosaic, featuring heated floors as well as a soaking tub. A separate walk-in shower with steam completes this luxurious space.
On the third level you will find the additional guest bedroom which features a queen size bed and en suite bathroom.
Please note there is construction occurring on the neighboring home at 103 Tradd Street. Duvet Homes will not be responsible or provide refunds for any interruptions due to circumstances out of our control (i.e. construction, noise from neighbors, etc.) during your stay.
Dogs can be negotiated with a $250 per pet fee.
South of Broad Neighborhood:
The lively area South of Broad is known for the 19th-century Rainbow Row, with restored, pastel townhouses that are popular for photo-taking. Italianate 1800s landmarks include the chandelier-filled Calhoun Mansion and the Nathaniel Russell House, with a “free-flying” staircase. On the peninsula's tip, mature oak trees, Civil War cannons and monuments fill White Point Garden. Antique stores dot nearby King Street.
Other things to note:
Our Housekeeping Team members clean and sanitize all hard surfaces of our vacation homes, including but not limited to floors, countertops, railings, sink faucets, appliances, doorknobs, and light switches. The quality of disinfectants we use should remove 100 percent of the microscopic organisms on surfaces, and effectively stop the spread of disease and viruses. Linens and towels are laundered offsite at our linen facility. There is no evidence to suggest that this particular coronavirus will survive the wash chemistry and temperatures in the wash and dry process. All soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated.
Our housekeeping staff is trained to use the best hygiene practices at all times. With the combination of these best practices, our employees, clients, and guests should be safe from the spread of coronavirus.
