A large furnished bedroom with a private bathroom is available for rent from July 15th to September 15th. This is a short-term lease for 60 days (an extension is possible with notice), $1200/month, which includes all utilities. A $1200 refundable security deposit and a $100 one-time cleaning fee are also required.
About the Room:
The available bedroom is 12 x 13 and comes furnished with a queen-size bed and side table. The room includes a large closet (6 x 2) and bedding (one set of sheets, four pillows with pillowcases, a duvet, and a duvet cover). A small desk and desk chair can also be added for you if needed. The private bathroom is directly across the hall with a shower and tub. One towel, two washcloths, and two hand towels can be provided if needed. Photos are current and up to date.
Condo Description:
The 1700-square-foot condo has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is located on the first floor (unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible). The bedrooms do not share a wall, and the private bathroom is across the hallway from the room for rent. The condo has a large, airy living room with a bonus large sunroom full of plants. It also has a fully equipped gourmet open kitchen with granite countertops, a dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances. The condo also has central air, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a free in-unit Washer/Dryer. The large flat-screen TV in the living room has Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Peacock, and HBO Max. There is a large private back porch. Free street parking is available. You also have the option to rent out a private parking spot one block away for $200/month. The home is cleaned professionally every few weeks.
About Us:
You will live with two other people (the condo owner and their partner). Our home has one 60 lb sweet and friendly pitbull who is very friendly and playful, sleeps most of the day, and only barks occasionally. No other pets are allowed. I am a woman in my mid-30s who works from home and is home most of the time. My partner is a man in his mid-30s who also works from home sometimes and is out a bit more. We are both very low-key, kind, and respectful people and have a clean, relaxed, and organized home. We dont have parties or people coming in and out of the home.
Location:
We’re located in the heart of Rogers Park, with easy access to the Red Line (.1 miles), the Metra (.4 miles), the Clark Street 22 Bus (.4 miles), and endless local dining, shopping, and entertainment venues. Around the corner is Glenwood Alfresco, a pedestrian-friendly stretch of road that hosts farmers markets, festivals, and outdoor seating for restaurants. Lots of great eats, coffee shops and bars in Jarvis Square a few blocks away too. Lakefront beaches and parks are only two blocks away, and the nearby Arts District is home to award-winning theatre. Morse Market and the Common Cup are within a short 5-minute walking distance, V Tone Fitness is a 10-minute walk away, and Jewel, Walgreens, and Esporta Fitness are just a few blocks north. We are looking for a low-key, independent, friendly person who is relatively clean and picks up after themselves. No racist or homophobes. We don’t have to be best friends, but we should be comfortable sharing the home. We dont allow any drugs or smoking inside of the home (cigs or 420), but you are welcome to smoke on the back porch as long as you use an ashtray. We also are not looking for anyone who throws parties or has people coming in and out of the home often. You must be able to pass a background check, provide verified proof of income and two references (one landlord and one roommate), and sign a short-term leasing agreement.
