750 square foot cabin with all new appliances (fridge, septic, microwave, fans, wall AC unit, etc), and furnishings (see photos) available for medium-to-long-term renters (minimum 6 months). Not looking for weekend renters. Cabin is located in Coffeeville, MS on the Yalobusha/Grenada County line (in Grenada County). $350 a month. 3-month deposit. Refundable if it doesn’t work out. There is a community of feral cats that live outside the cabin.
Water will be split with me since livestock use same water meter. We will work out % of that. Electricity will be yours. Natchez Trace, provider, is a cooperative and has a minimum monthly fee of ~$23 (even without electricity use). There is no internet at the moment but not a problem to put in. Installation is free and high-speed internet is $59.99 monthly. No washer/dryer on premise but you can bring if you have. Laundromats are ~10 miles away.
This property is pretty remote. ~10 miles from anything. Coffeeville is 10 miles. Grenada is 25 miles (but 45 miles currently with nearest bridge out). Bruce is 20 miles. Oxford is 40 miles. There is no public transportation, nor taxi/ride share out here so you will need a reliable vehicle.
Space to grow a garden. Will have access to my hiking trails.
The cabin is near my livestock so I will be around the cabin 2-3x a day feeding, checking on water, working on improvement projects – but I will not enter.
Open to calls or zoom tours…but you really need to visit…I can’t stress enough how remote this property is. It’s not for everyone. During hunting season, there are a few people around, but off-season, 3-4 cars go past per day max.
Pets welcome. Space in barn for housing horses or other livestock. There is an open ~3 acre pasture with just finished fencing that can also be a home for any livestock.
Available mid-October.
