And, that doesnt begin to describe the beauty of the polished wood floors throughout.. the picture windows out into your own private scenic yard, alive with natures blooming greenery and a variety of wild animals.
Then there is the large hand-built stone fireplace and the artful furniture, including a fully adjustable queen bed in the master bedroom, plus a large walk-in closet.
Dont forget the alcove which doubles as a cozy second bedroom with is queen-sized sofa bed. And the 10-foot commanding horse sculpture in the backyard that you see out the picture window and walk past every day on the way to your car, your bike, or one of several walking paths around the property.
The winter-time heat comes from baseboard-heated water radiators - Rare, expensive to build, and importantly, this means during the winter the air inside the apartment does Not dry out like it does with common forced air heating. It’s totally silent as well.
The yard is usually inhabited by birds, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and deer. And sometimes, the beauty of a baby bobcat.
The driveway is hidden, and the house is undetectable from the road. Its private.
And being right off historic Newtown Turnpike (where stagecoaches traveled from Stamford up to Newtown in the 1800s.), there is little traffic to begin with. The apartment is 99% free of any road/car noise. It is Serene.
There is parking for multiple cars.
We are leaving for San Diego to be with family. Otherwise, we would never give this place up.
