Some windows in the home are free of coverings and offer ample natural light. This sound-sensitive neighborhood is not suitable for loud groups. There is an Amtrak line along the ocean; passing trains may occasionally be heard.
Although the home is less than a block from the Pacific, steep bluffs make access difficult; the nearest beach access point is at Powerhouse Park, a 13-minute walk.
