Cleveland's Old Brooklyn neighborhood, on the city's west side, is nestled between Brooklyn, Parma, and the industrial valley.

The city, founded in 1814, is known for its greenhouses, turn-of-the century doubles and bungalows, and quiet tree-lined streets. It's also home to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Deaconess hospital, historic Riverside Cemetery, and of course Drew Carey's boyhood home.

Newer shopping districts have developed, including the Memphis-Fulton shopping center and Ridgepark Sqaure. Among Old Brooklyn favorites include the Honey Hut Ice Cream Shop, Sausage Shoppe, and Dina's Pizza

Old Brooklyn includes the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, several neighborhood parks, and the Estabrook Rec Center, which has a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a playground, and arts and crafts classes.

Treadway Creek Greenway Restoration Project

A $1.1 million project for restoration and preservation of a riparian corridor in Treadway Creek ravine in Old Brooklyn.

The greenway trail brings access for the Old Brooklyn Harmody Park neighborhood to the Lower Big Creek Valley and the Canalway's Towpath Trail.
