My wife and I are renting out the top floor of our recently renovated Brownstone. The entire apartment is 800 square feet and is completely gut renovated with brand new windows, floors, and appliances. As you enter the apartment through the parlor floor, you have your own private entrance and stairway leading up to the apartment and into the living room that has an open kitchen floor plan. Facing the front of the house, there is one large bedroom (15' x 11') with a large closet and a smaller bedroom (11' x 5.5') which may be used as an office, child's bedroom, or nursery. Facing the backyard is the kitchen and living room which have all new appliances (stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator). There is one bathroom with dual sinks and a walk in shower. The apartment gets great natural sunlight. In addition to the windows in the front and back, there are two skylights that illuminate the entrance/hallway and the bathroom. Both bedrooms and the living room comes with a split unit cooling/heating system. There is also a washer and dryer in unit. Water is included in the rent.

The house is located at 451 Hancock Street (between Marcus Garvey and Lewis). We're right around the corner from Saraghina and a close walk to the Kingston Throop C train or the Utica Ave A train. Plenty of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops within walking distance. There is a great new grocery store that just opened up 2 blocks away on Throop.

ABOUT THIS LISTER

My wife and I are both young professionals. She is a design director in fashion and I'm a physical therapist. She is a NY native and I'm an LA transplant of 10 years. We have a 1.5 year old, fun-loving, Australian Labradoodle. We both love to surf and snowboard and spend most of our weekends at the beach/mountains and/or hanging out with friends in the neighborhood.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

First month's rent and one month security deposit, credit check, verifiable income of 40x rent (80x rent with a guarantor).
